My best friend had stayed at the Riu Aruba a few months earlier + only had good things to say about her experience with the chain, so the boy + I were confident in our decision to book Riu Montego Bay. The benefit of vacationing the week we did was that it was right smack in the middle of the Canadian Reading Week and the American Spring Break. Although I have been on a number of Spring Break all-inclusive trips with friends and have thoroughly enjoyed them, trust me when I say if you want to go on a relaxing trip with your significant other (even if you’re a recent university graduate) you don’t want to be there during Spring Break. We realized this very quickly + were very happy we picked the week we did.

This trip could not have come at a more perfect time. Exactly twenty-four hours before my handsome man + I caught our plane to Jamaica, I checked my email + read what I think is the best news that I’ve ever received to date (more to come about that later)! Two weeks later I still have a smile on my face. Needless to say, this seven-day hop to Montego Bay was exactly what I wanted. « Read the rest of this entry »
