Towards my last few days in Europe there were certain things I really began to crave and homemade smoothies were at the top of that list.
Not having my blender all summer deprived me of constant access to these yummy and nutritious blended beverages of goodness that I was used to having almost everyday in some form or another.
So since said blender had a really lonely summer, I’m trying to give it as much love as possible by churning out lots of different smoothies and this almond butter banana one I made yesterday is the latest one.
I mixed two bananas with one cup of vanilla almond milk, three tablespoons of Trader Joe’s almond butter, one tablespoon of organic honey, one scoop of vanilla protein powder and a handful of ice – and voila – heaven.
This amount made about two servings…or one giant serving if pour the entire batch in a latte bowl like I did.
