my fourteen carry-on essentials.

Hello spring break, oh how I’ve been waiting for this time to come!
In past years, this pause in the academic calendar has usually involved flying somewhere south with a big group of my friends to relax, soak up the sun and forget about school, deadlines and homework. Getting away always makes a vacation feel so much more like a vacation, especially when it involves lying on a beach with a margarita in hand.
But I did something rather uncharacteristic: I decided to stay put.
And I’m so happy I did.
For the first time ever I didn’t feel compelled to jet off somewhere and I couldn’t be happier with my decision.
Plus, the idea of saving money was a nice thought :)
The bigger and better news though is that one of my best friends from home is coming to visit me allll week and she lands tomorrow! Cue unbelievably high amounts of happiness. So in the spirit of her coming, and in the name of spring break travel, I thought this called for an appropriate time to do a round up of my favorite in-flight essentials. I hope this is helpful and if you have any to add to this list, I’d love to hear!
1. Printed iPhone Battery Backup – $39.50 // 2. The Hamptons Cashmere Cardigan – $132.75 // 3. Taylor Gold Headphones – $199 // 4. Midnight Pomegranate Hand Sanitizer – $1.75 // 5. I love this post! These are the perfect flight essentials. Although I have to say I usually opt for a MUCH more fuzzy pair of socks. ;-) And in all likelihood a much more substantial snack because food is my comfort zone on the plane!
I like your thinking!
I love this list. I’m always flying and this is a great lot of essentials x
Thank you I’m glad you approve :)
I always wear a huge scarf that can double as a blanket. Planes can get so cold! And of course, headphones to block out the crying babies/snoring neighbors/flight attendants
Right? We’re completely on the same page.
Oh em gee. Look what I blogged about today ;) http://www.bayparkdream.com/2013/03/i-will-take.html
I think we’re meant to be friends hehe
Haha yes! Great minds think alike. Now I’m asking myself how I forgot to include gum on my round up…so essential!
Great post girl! It’s funny because I’m the opposite of you… I never took a spring break vaca and now my first year out of college I’m DYING to go somewhere warm! Midwest problems, I tell you. xx
You totally should! And thank goodness the list of warm options is a long one :)
I always make sure to bring ear plugs and an eye mask as well, just in case :) oh and breath mints
Breath mints! Always a good call
Great picks- lots of stuff to stay warm, hydrated, and of course snacks! As soon as I saw that blanket I realized you were Canadian!!
Guilty as charged :)
I love that an HBC blanket is part of the essentials.
Hope you’ve had a lovely visit with your friend :)
And I love that you appreciate the oh so necessary HBC addition :)
