This is so not like any of my other Edinburgh posts, but I just couldn’t help it. We went for lunch at this adorable café right across the street from our hostel that was so good I just had to share. After an entire day of walking and exploring, a relaxed meal complete with comfort food was exactly what we were in dire need of. A smoked salmon sandwich, a fresh mug of homemade soup and a warm chai latté definitely hit the spot. Stumbling upon random little gems, be it restaurants or shops, might just be what I love the most about travelling without an itinerary. The spontaneity of turning a corner and finding a place that for one reason or another {or even none at all} sparks enough interest to temporarily stray off course can make a day so much more interesting. Wandering into this café was one of those moments.
So now that I’ve totally and officially exhausted you all of Edinburgh, can you handle Roma? I sure hope so :) Have a great weekend!

This summer? It’ll be right next door…
Rome is wonderful, you’ll love it, though it’s busier than Scotland :)
This cafe looks just perfect.
BTW are you coming over to Barcelona?! ;-)
There’s a chance I could make it there this summer. I’d love to make that happen :)
