dublin | the pub life is the good life.

Pubs are to Dublin as Tim Hortons are to Toronto* – sometimes they’re not in plain sight but they’re more or less everywhere else. Kelly was living in a great little area called Temple Bar. Before I arrived, she had raved about her neighbourhood and let me tell you, the girl wasn’t exaggerating. It had cobblestones, flats, the cutest little pubs, more cobblestones and even more pubs. These places scored spots in the coveted top three. By day they were full of small groups hanging out and enjoying each others companies, and by night they were taken over by irish dancers and fiddlers. It was an amazing thing.

Next stop: Edinburgh, Scotland.

* Would you judge me if I admitted I’ve been living in LA for almost four weeks and I still haven’t figured out what the American equivalent is…Dunkin’ Donuts? Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf? Apparently I still have a thing or two to learn.
