I was severely homesick on Friday for the first time ever. It just hit me all at once how far from home I was and from so many people who I love and miss. As tough as that was to deal with, it also gave me a kick of motivation to do my best to seize the rest of the weekend. Mission accomplished. Credit is of course due to a few of my new friends. I wouldn’t have danced up a storm, tried In-N-Out for the first time, taken in a beachy afternoon in Venice, discovered there were canals in this city (and beautiful ones too!) and found a great café with one of the best cappuccinos I’d had in a long time without any of them. Here’s to them!
* fun side note: that half-covered gentleman with the moustache is David Arquette. I love me a celebrity sighting!
