i love my city {centre island}.

Biking around Centre Island has been on my Toronto bucket list for so long & I’ve inadvertently never made time to do it. Thank goodness that all changed this past weekend. I still don’t even know how this was my first visit here because the island is beautiful. Once off the ferry you’re met with the sight of pristine green parks full of picnicking couples & families, winding walkways full of bicyclists and little kiddies devouring soft serve ice cream that lead to a water park, multi-coloured gardens, Centreville, and of course the beach and boardwalk. On the way you’ll cross over a white-painted bridge as onlookers from one of the many patios leisurely watch kayakers and canoeists meander through the canals.
Life slows down on Centre Island, it’s as if everyone leaves reality back on the mainland, it’s quite amazing. The weather could not have been more perfect and everyone around couldn’t have been happier (myself and my man included!). In a city with four seasons, when summer rolls around everyone’s either outside or counting down until they can be. That appreciation of amazing weather is something I’ll miss about Toronto, but something I plan on taking out west with me!

Blessed are those who love the city they live in! Toronto seems to be a lovely city, quite different than Athens, our beloved city!
Toronto is fantastic, you should definitely visit if you get the chance :)
