malaysia | a day in melaka.

Malaysia is a country full of endless day trip possibilities! Unfortunately Riley + I weren’t there long enough to do more than one, so we narrowed our pickings down to Melaka. An area rich of Dutch and Portuguese influence, it was vibrant and full of color and character. We could have spent so much more time than the few hours we spent exploring. When not wandering around, we found ourselves indulging in fresh Malay cuisine in front of misting fans + ducking into shops in the hope that one of them would have air conditioning. You could say it was a hot day. All this inadvertent shopping resulted in some amazing purchases, including a pair of dark green harlem pants with a hand-stitched bead embroidery.

Wow the colours are amazing!!! So impressed Malaysia looks amazing. If you could do two more day trips what would have been on the list?
I know right! I especially loved how much red there was everywhere :) I definitely would have taken a trip to the Cameron Highlands (if only I had more time!) and probably to the Batu Caves. I just took a look at your Northern Vietnam photos – can’t wait to see more!
