Oh yes that’s right, I still have bits + pieces of my Southeast Asia trip to share! The Petronas Tower was the only thing I knew about Malaysia, and I didn’t even know what it was called until I arrived in Kuala Lumpur. Embarrassing. What I did know was that I wanted it to be the first stop on our city walking tour. Fortunately, Riley and Andrew agreed. If you search for pictures of this building, it’s pretty remarkable, but seeing it in person is that much better, and seeing it at dusk is even better than that. We missed being able to buy a ticket to go up to the viewing room by a few minutes, but it wasn’t a big deal at all when we learned there was another famous tower in the city, Menara KL, that had a much cheaper entrance fee, less limited visiting hours and a better view of the city (alright, maybe I’m a little biased).
