Even at the age of 24, Miss Monroe looked amazing. Aren’t these photos beautiful? Taken by LIFE magazine photographer Ed Clark in Los Angeles’ Griffith Park in August 1950, it’s hard to believe they were never published. The only insight as to why they weren’t is hinted by a note found attached to the recently discovered photos that says they were over-developed and poorly printed – but they look pretty good to me!
Side note: ‘hot tomato’ was what she was referred as by the Century Fox executive who called up Ed Clark to set up the shoot. My supposed randomness is not so random after all.
