luang prabang: phou si hill.

I’m fulfilling my promise to share more pictures of my Asia trip as has been requested. Yesterday, I gave a pictorial glimpse into Luang Prabang – a small city situated in northern Laos (the landlocked country that lies between Cambodia + Vietnam) that I fell in love with + holds a special place in my heart.
Riley + I discovered Phou Si Hill on our first afternoon while exploring the city’s main street. All we could see was a brick staircase leading up into the forest with no visible end – we were obviously so intrigued at what could be at the top so off we went. What we found was absolutely remarkable – it led to a plateau decorated with temples + shrines that gave us a near-panoramic view of the city.
By the time we got back down to the main street, it was lined with tents for as far as we could see as hundreds of vendors were setting up for the night market – another amazing part of Luang Prabang that I’ll post about tomorrow!
oh my word! how gorgeous can it get? beautiful photos.
