Today I’m 25.
Except instead I think I’m going to tell people that it’s really the fourth anniversary of my 21st birthday.
Sounds better doesn’t it?
No work today means a trip to Primark, champagne and afternoon tea at Harrod’s, macarons at Ladurée and a girls night out are in the books. I feel ok about it :)

My very recent move to London has me incredibly excited to explore all that Europe has to offer. Luckily, I’ve stumbled upon some fabulous blogging ladies who get to call this continent their home and have become serious experts in the field of expat living and travelling.
So, in an effort to learn more about Europe and to introduce you to some of my favorite blogs, I bring you my new “48 Hours In…” series! They get to brag and we get to learn a little something. Sounds pretty great don’t you think?
And with London being my new temporary home, I couldn’t think of a more perfect beginning than this city or a more perfect person to share it than the lovely Sophie of The Littlest Things.
Hello fellow eyes/ears/mouth+lens readers! I was so excited when Lauren asked me to share my own little 48 hours in London guide! I have grown increasingly passionate about this city that I am currently living in and I absolutely love sharing all my favourite “hot-spots”. I’m so looking forward to showing Lauren around the amazing city! So here is my 48 hours in London Guide: « Read the rest of this entry »

I was always under the impression that beach towns in California are all the same.
Thank goodness I was wrong – just when I thought I’d seen all that they could offer I saw Pismo Beach. « Read the rest of this entry »

Hey London, I’m coming for you!
Seriously, I can hardly believe that this is real.
Once I’ve arrived/am somewhat settled I’ll start Instagramming up a storm, so follow along if you wish @eemlblog.
Oh, and look out for my final stops on my PCH roadtrip plus a guest post from a lovely blogger named Sophie :)
See you across the pond!

If Hearst Castle was on MTV’s Cribs, no other mansion would stand a chance.
Not even a little bit.
I’ve never seen one as big and ornate. Designed for newspaper magnate and publisher William Randolph Hearst, it has 165 rooms and 127 acres of gardens, terraces, pools and walkways.
No big deal.
This place is so big that separate tours are offered for different areas of the property. Heather and I paid for guided tours of the grand rooms, but much to our disappointment we didn’t find it worth it. We waited nearly two hours for our tour to start and once we got there, we found the rooms too heavily decorated and gaudy for our liking.
The grounds were an entirely different story though. « Read the rest of this entry »

Leaving Carmel was so sad. We both fell head over heels crazy in love with it and only left because our hotel made us check out.
Isn’t it just so silly when they make you do that?
Besides our final stop in LA, we couldn’t imagine loving any other part of the roadtrip as much as we loved Carmel.
Little did we know what we were about to see. « Read the rest of this entry »
